Gratitude journal

Today I got sustained and set apart as the 1st counselor in the Relief Society Presidency.  I had such an over abundance of my Savior and Heavenly Father's love for me.  I am so grateful so their love.  I know that I am suppose to do this calling right now and that with the  aid of our Heavenly Father now is impossible.  I also know that he will help me to get the important jobs done.  I just need to keep him in the loop.

Today my kids when back to school.  Yeah.  I love my children but after 2 weeks of them being home it was great for them to go back to school.  I love them going to school so that I can do the housework and other things that I need to get done.

Today I am grateful for friends.   I have had all of them keep telling me that I can do this new calling and it is always helpful to have their confidence.  I know that when I need them they are there to listen to me talk, cry and vent.  Thanks for all you do.  I love you lots.

My thankfulness today if for John's job.  It has made it possible to me to be a stay at home mom.  They treat him good and give him lots of benefits.  Thanks Beehive Telephone.

Sharen asked me to write a paragraph on what I had given up to be a mom.  I could think of things that I had given up but I couldn't really say that I regretted it.  I love being a mom.  It brings lots of joy to my life.  I get such a wonderful feeling when my children do something good.  I also feel bad if they are hurting.  My children are the greatest joy that I could ever imagine.  I also love my grandchildren and am happy to be able to babysit her while Stephanie goes to school.  It is really wonderful to see her growing up.  I also think that my children are also growing and I love to see them growing up and being great adult.  I love my 2 sons in law.  They are really great for my daughters.

I am thankful for the gospel.  It helps me to look for good in others.  It also has helped me raise my children and to teach them how to love others,    I know that the gospel is true and that it will only lead us to do and be better.  I know that the prophet is here to guide us and show us the way to go.
