Blessings.

It's another Friday and the kids had early day from school. We are watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Then we have to go deliver girl scouts cookies, and try and get more people signed up for Matt's Eagle project. He is doing a blood drive and needs to have at least 60 people signed up for it. So far he has about 15. Not going so well. He is really discouraged about it. We have Scout-o-rama ticket sales tomorrow. I also want to go shopping and get me some new jeans and some new dresses. My friend told me about a consignment shop that I want to check out tomorrow. Then on Sunday we are going to Steph's for dinner for her birthday. I am really excited about that. She doesn't invite us very often so when she does I get excited. Although I am a little worried about her because she is having a lot of pain and had to go get an ultrasound done today. Hopefully it is nothing big. Monday we are going to St. George. for 3 days. It should be fun. The kids are out of school so we are going to take them with us. John has business to do so I am planning on taking the kids site seeing. Hopefully John will have some time to go with us.
Amanda gets to move into her own apartment on the 23rd. That is really good for them. I am excited about that also. I love to see my kids growing up and making good choices with their life. I really love being a mom and being able to do things with and for my kids. I want to make dresses for Easter but I am not sure about that. I will have to see what kind of patterns and fabric that I find that I like. I don't want to be stressed about it but I do need some more dresses.
I am so glad for my church calling. I have been able to grow so much spiritually since changing callings. I know that the Lord really know what we need. It is fun to see the young single adults and listen to what they are thinking and feeling. It is good to be able to have a reason to study and learn the gospel. I feel so much more ready for face the world now.
I really love my husband and am grateful for all that he does for me. He works very hard to provide for us. He worries about keeping his job and having the financial support that we need. I love to see him interact with the kids and to see the love that is there. I know that he is a good dad.
I am so grateful for my parents and for the support and love they provide. It is wonderful to have parents that support you and want whats best for you. There is nothing like having a family to support and give you guidance and encouragement.

  1. So Matt's having a hard time getting people signed up? I'm sorry. I remember having that issue too. Try getting the troop involved and setting up stations in the local grocery stores. Also never underestimate the power of knocking doors. You don't have to know everyone you sign up.
Let him know that even if he only gets 15 people to donate, that still goes a long ways. Each unit can be separated into red cells, platlets, and plasma. So he will have helped 45 different people just by getting 15 people to donate.

I'm worried about Stephanie too... I don't understand anything about what could be going on, so I'm scared to death. I hope it's nothing serious, but I'm still waiting for the doctor to call back with a final confirmation.

BTW, you're welcome anytime. Just let us know.

  2. Awe you're so cute! While you're down in St. G, you should take the kids to Sand Hollow. Its a lake down there, and it will be pretty warm so you could even get some sun! And always stop by the temple, cause its beautiful. I love you as my teacher too, you're great at it, I just wish that the boys wouldnt always talk about dumb stuff to detract from the lesson, but boys will be boys right.... anyways have a fun trip!

  3. I'm a friend of your son-in-law's--remember, we met back in August late that night in your den...? I am hereby asking permission to read your blog and to follow it. Would this be okay?

P.S. Stephanie is in pain? She will be in my prayers....
